Simi Scout: Animal behavior analysis

Simi Scout is a video analysis software which helps recognize causal coherences and chronology of animal behavior. Cameras from different perspectives allow detailed observations of single animals or groups.
The software is perfectly suitable for tracing and illustrating routes, speeds and directions and to determine ‘cause and effect’ chains. Actions can be categorized by freely definable criteria in real time or from recorded video footage.
Filters can be applied to sort and display specific subsets of the acquired data. Cross project comparisons are feasible as well.
Because of the possibility to capture and evaluate events, with or without a video system, Simi Scout is well suitable for spontaneous, mobile application. Nothing more than a notebook and Simi Scout is needed to carry out an examination.
